ROCK HILL, S.C. — The family of a Rock Hill woman serving 18 years in prison for armed robbery is trying to free her.
A jury found Connie Dumas guilty of robbing the Family Trust Credit Union on Albright Road in 2010.
Her husband contacted the Charlotte-based civil rights group T.H.U.G. to help get her released.
The group said they will provide access to a lawyer who can file an appeal or seek post-conviction relief.
That is a process that allows a convicted person to prove their trial was unfair.
