ROCK HILL, S.C. — After a controversial arrest divided an entire community, a former Rock Hill police officer said he wants to focus on bridging that divide.
“I do believe our community has been divided tremendously and with my voice, I really want to bring us together,” Jonathan Moreno said.
Moreno was acquitted on charges of assault and battery last week, stemming from a controversial arrest in 2021.
>> In the video at the top of the page, Moreno sat down for a one-on-one interview with Channel 9′s Tina Terry, where he talked about the backlash from the verdict and changes he said could move policing and the community forward.
