GREENVILLE, N.C. — Drivers in Greenville, North Carolina, may now be excited to receive a ticket from police.
Greenville police officers are giving out tickets that thank citizens for following the law.
The department has partnered with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to promote Watch for Me N.C., a pedestrian and bicycle safety campaign.
The cards can be redeemed at participating businesses.
According to police, nearly 2,400 pedestrians and almost 1,000 bicyclists are hit each year in North Carolina.
