CHARLOTTE — Huntington National Bank announced plans to expand its presence and add corporate signage to the top of the One South office tower in Uptown Charlotte.
The bank opened its regional headquarters at the 101 S. Tryon St. tower in 2023. Under the expansion, Huntington will take over the 39th and 40th floors, bringing its total footprint to four full floors within the 40-story building.
SouthWood Corporation, a veteran-owned company headquartered in Rock Hill, is fabricating and installing the new signage, bank officials said. The sign will feature programmable lighting that glows in Huntington’s signature green on most nights and changes colors to mark community moments alongside other uptown towers.
The headquarters expansion comes as the bank expands its retail footprint in the region. Huntington has committed to opening approximately 55 branches across the Carolinas.
