Inside Great Wolf Lodge's $7 million revamp

CONCORD, N.C. — Great Wolf Lodge in Concord is in the midst of a $7 million facelift.

The 485,000-square-foot hotel and waterpark recently revamped all 402 guest rooms and corridors. Next up as part of that project is a refresh of the grand lobby and stairwells.

This is the most extensive refurbishment for the Concord facility since it opened in 2009. It gives the resort a more contemporary feel while adding touches that better meet guest needs, says Angie Brown, general manager.

"We're getting lot of great feedback," she adds.
