MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Months after surveillance video captured a person breaking into NASCAR driver Greg Biffle’s home, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is expected to share a significant update on the investigation Tuesday.
The break-in happened just hours after the December plane crash that killed Biffle, his wife Cristina and his two children.

Search warrants show suspicious activity began within hours of the crash. Investigators say there were immediate changes to financial account information and fraudulent transactions.
Less than a month later, investigators say thousands of dollars were stolen from Biffle’s home, including $30,000 in cash, guns and jewelry.
Deputies released surveillance pictures of a woman who they say appeared familiar with the home’s layout. Investigators believe she may have been a family friend whose vehicle was captured near the house before the break-in.
Investigators also believe multiple people with knowledge of the Biffle’s finances may have been involved.
Search warrants have been executed at a home and storage unit, but no arrests or suspects have been publicly identified.
The sheriff’s office says it will provide an update on the investigation at 2 p.m.
