KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Public Health is reporting that eight people have been exposed to rabies.
According to the Herald, health officials said a rabid kitten was found near Ashely Creek and Vista View Drives in Kershaw County.
They said those eight people were told to see their doctors.
According to the Herald, two dogs were also exposed and put into quarantine.
The Department of Public Health is urging pet owners to keep their animals up to date on rabies vaccinations.
