Local group works to make sure underserved communities are informed about vaccine

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Anyone 16 or older can sign up for a COVID-19 vaccine in North Carolina and several local organizations, including the Latin-American Coalition, are making sure underserved communities have equal access to the shots.

Organizers are helping get the word out and signing people up for appointments, but as Channel 9′s Anthony Kustura explains, city and county leaders are also making sure those people are aware they’re eligible to receive the vaccine.
