CHARLOTTE — The man accused of blowing up his Dilworth home in May of 2025 has been found incapable to stand trial, according to our partners at The Charlotte Observer.
Investigators say Michael Barnette poured gasoline in his home and set it on fire, leading to a massive explosion.

The blast damaged two nearby homes and injured a fire investigator.
Barnette is now ordered to undergo mental health treatment.
He has another review hearing scheduled for later this year.
