Channel 9 crews were first on the scene and could see crime scene investigators placing several evidence markers in the yard. Shell casings could be seen scattered across the ground.

Detectives said the home was intentionally targeted in the drive-by shooting. Bullets also hit an SUV, shattering the rear window. A round also hit a neighbor's garage.

Police told Channel 9 that someone drove the victim to the hospital. Authorities said he has serious injuries.

A neighbor Channel 9 spoke with said he heard at least a dozen gunshots.

“It wasn't that loud, but it was one bang after another,” said Tony Walther. “A little bit louder than a firework.”

Detectives have not said what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made.
