CHARLOTTE — Mecklenburg County commissioners are set to discuss funding for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools on Tuesday.
The meeting comes as district leaders search for the next superintendent. The new hire will be the district’s eighth permanent superintendent in a decade.
One school board member worries issues within the board could make the search more difficult.
CMS Board Chair Dee Rankin told Channel 9 last week that he does not believe the controversies will discourage candidates from applying.
