MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — On Tuesday Mecklenburg County leaders are expected to give an update on a park that was shut down due to elevated lead and cobalt levels.
Channel 9 reported on this last year.
Southside Park near I-77 has been closed while the state conducts tests.
The park was built on top of an unlined landfill.
The update will be given Tuesday at Revolution Park Sports Academy at 6 p.m.
