CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating after a person was shot inside a car Monday morning in north Charlotte.
The driver and the passengers were trying to purchase a Galaxy phone off Craigslist and were shot at when they arrived at an apartment complex on Prospect Drive.
One of the people in the car was shot in the chest.
The driver left the apartment complex and drove to a 7-Eleven on West Sugar Creek Road.
The gas station employees called 911 and the person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
Police have a description of the shooter but do not have anyone in custody.
