CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A memorial service is scheduled for former UNC President William Friday on Wednesday morning.
The Gaston County native died at his home in Chapel Hill on Friday.
Friday served as UNC system president for 30 years.
He passed away at 92.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. in Memorial Hall on the UNC campus.
