MOORESVILLE, N.C. — While the Mooresville Spinners will no longer play at the newly renovated Moor Park, town leaders said there is still a future for baseball in Mooresville.
In a statement, the town said the lease agreement was mutually terminated after a 12-year run.
“We are grateful to the Spinners fans and to this community for more than a decade of support, and we appreciate the support the Town of Mooresville extended to the Spinners over the years,” the team’s principal owner, John Wilcox, said in a release. “We are proud of the Spinners’ history at Moor Park, and we give credit to the Town for making that possible with its contributions.”
The Town of Mooresville started on the stadium’s large-scale renovation in early 2025. It is set to open next year.
Leaders are expected to share more information about the future of baseball in town in the coming months.
