MOORESVILLE, N.C. — An 18-year-old Mooresville woman is accused of threatening to fabricate child molestation accusations is a man didn’t give her $4,000, according to our news partners at The Charlotte Observer.

Huntersville police arrested Chloe Salmon Monday and charged her with felony extortion.

The arrest warrant claims Salmon threatened the victim with a false police report accusing him of engaging with underage girls if he didn’t pay her.

Salmon bonded $20,000 out of jail. A judge also ordered her to have no further contact with the victim, records show.

Investigators did not say how the suspect and victim knew each other.
