More than 50 fast-growing firms in Charlotte area earn spot on Inc. 5000 list

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More than 50 companies in the Charlotte region landed on Inc. magazine’s annual list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private firms in the nation.

Fifty-two local companies, to be exact, appear on the Inc. 5000, a roundup of U.S. firms posting the largest revenue growth during the past three years.

That encompasses a wide range of sectors in the region, including energy, tech, construction and staffing industries as well as local restaurant and food-and-beverage operators like Famous Toastery and Hissho Sushi.

Inc. puts emphasis on the top 500 firms, each of which grew revenue by at least 1,000% in three years. Five are located across the Charlotte area.
