There are 30 million Americans unemployed with no income, so they cannot pay their rent.

Charlotte mom Martina Dinnerson was struggling to pay her rent and was forced to shut down her medical massage clinic in March.

She told Eyewitness News anchor Susanna Black she was down to her last $40. Her son has autism and regular doctor appointments. She was struggling to support herself, him and help her daughter, who is currently in college.

"I feel like I am slowly losing everything I worked so hard for,” Martina Dinnerson said.

Martina reached back out to Channel 9 Saturday morning and shared that she had just gotten financial help from some generous Channel 9 viewers.

She said her rent, her office space rent and her daughter’s college apartment rent is now paid for the month thanks to the kindness of Channel 9 viewers, who she doesn’t even know.

She said she is extremely thankful.
