CHARLOTTE — Charlotte’s wealthiest enclave remains the 28207 ZIP code, which includes parts of the Myers Park and Eastover neighborhoods.
That’s according to American City Business Journals’ latest rankings that analyze several different metrics — including median income, home values and owner-occupied housing rates, among others — to determine the ZIP codes with the highest concentrations of wealth.
Demographic data comes from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey 5-year estimates. This analysis also factors in population density, showcasing where the most wealth is concentrated — not just where the absolute richest live.
For ZIP codes in the Charlotte Business Journal’s localized ranking, per-capita income exceeded $50,000 and the poverty rate was less than 10%.
