CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide on Montford Drive in South Charlotte.
On Saturday, shortly after 1 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call. Officers discovered one victim with life-threatening injuries who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by MEDIC where they were pronounced dead. CMPD says they have identified all parties believed to be involved and are not currently looking for any additional suspects.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
