SALISBURY, N.C. — North Carolina is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information regarding the yearslong unsolved murder of a 7-year-old girl in Salisbury, Gov. Josh Stein announced Monday.
A’yanna Allen was shot and killed on Dec. 4, 2016, while she was asleep with her grandmother inside a Salisbury home. Her grandmother, Shirley Robinson, was also shot but survived.

The governor is offering the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
The state is also offering a reward for information leading to a conviction in the murder of 14-year-old BJ Grier.
On Sept. 27, 2024, Grier was shot while walking to a park in Salisbury. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Gov. Stein is offering up to $25,000 for information in the case.
Anyone with information about the cases is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department.
