NC organizations come together for ‘Stop the Hate’ rally in uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte’s NAACP joined with the Asian American Pacific Islanders of NC for a “Stop the Hate” rally on Saturday.

It happened at noon at Marshall Park.

The two organizations came together in response to the recent acts of violence in Atlanta and Boulder, Colorado.

They also shared a powerful message of how we’re better together.

“America if amazing because we have people come from all over the world. It’s powerful. the diversity that makes the country amazing,” said Zheng Wiley, with Asian American Pacific Islanders of NC. “Together we can do a lot. Together we can address this issue and we can stop racism.”

Other speakers at the rally said racism is a virus that has to be stopped.
