CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 40-foot tall, 20-ton sculpture is being erected at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
The sculpture is meant to resemble a tree created by Asheville artist Hoss Haley.
It is one of four pieces of art going up at the airport costing $265,000.
Over time, the steel will form a patina giving it a rusty, red color.
