MATTHEWS, N.C. — Novant Health Matthews Medical Center will now require all visitors to show ID.
Security change comes after Channel 9 told reported last week that a woman woke up to a strange man rifling through her belongings in her hospital room.
At the time, Novant said it was aware of the incident and evaluating next steps.
Now, Novant Health says all visitors must show a photo ID before they are given a visitor badge.
