Officials: 1 injured in single-engine plane crash at Charlotte Douglas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A small single-engine plane has crashed at Charlotte Douglas Airport.

Charlotte Douglas officials said the small, private plane with people aboard landed short of Runway 36R at 1:41 p.m.

One person suffered minor injuries in the crash.  The other person was uninjured.

Officials have shut down West Boulevard between Airport Drive and Yorkmont Road to investigate the crash.

Airport officials said the airport remains open and operations have not been affected.
