CHARLOTTE — The president of Johnson C. Smith University is retiring at the end of June after five years on the job.
“I am looking forward to spending time with my wife,” Clarence Armbrister said. “We have been married for 25 years this year -- five children, four grandchildren.”
Armbrister can’t help but to reminisce on his time at JCSU, Charlotte’s only historically Black university. But he told Channel 9 he’s looking forward to the future.
