Owners of former ‘Hoarders' house in NC to fight ruling that stopped B&B plan

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The owners of the historic Julian Price mansion took their fight to turn part of the residence into a bed-and-breakfast to court this week, appealing a decision by the Greensboro Zoning Commission in Guilford Superior Court.

Owners Eric and Michael Fuko-Rizzo are seeking to rent out five bedrooms in the 31-room, 90-year-old house, which was featured on the reality TV show "Hoarders" in 2017. The zoning commission turned down their request for a special-use permit needed to operate in a single-family residential district by a 4-3 vote in May.

The appeal was heard on Monday by Forsyth County Judge Eric Morgan, who will issue his ruling after reviewing the information and briefs from attorneys for the city and E&V Properties, the Fuko-Rizzos' development company.
