CHARLOTTE — Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after his franchise-record game against the Detroit Lions this past Sunday.
McMillan caught 14 passes for 192 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Carolina’s offense in the Panthers’ 32-26 win.
The honor is the first Offensive Player of the Week award of McMillan’s career, making him the first wide receiver in franchise history to win the recognition. He is the 16th Panthers player overall to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors and the first since quarterback Bryce Young in Week 11 of the previous season.

Now the first wide receiver in #Panthers history to earn the nod as Offensive Player of the Week.

McMillan became the first player in Panthers history to record at least 10 receptions, 175 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a single game.
“It was just a great job by the staff, coming together to make sure we’re putting him in different situations, getting matchups right and then from there it was just [Bryce] Young and TMac,” Panthers Head Coach Dave Canales said.
McMillan has been making waves across the league since being drafted by the Panthers in 2025. Last year, he won the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award for his 1,014-yard, seven-touchdown season.
McMillan is the first wide receiver in the league to earn an Offensive Player of the Week honor this season and is one of four wideouts to earn the recognition over the past three seasons, alongside Ja’Marr Chase, Puka Nacua and Garrett Wilson.
Linebacker Devin Lloyd was named Defensive Player of the Week in Week 2 -- Carolina is one of only three teams with multiple players of the week this season.
