Crowds pack Charlotte restaurants as COVID-19 continues to spread

CHARLOTTE — More people are out and about, doing things as summer begins and restrictions related to COVID-19 are being lifted.

But health experts are still concerned about the spread of the virus.

Some restaurants are filling up with people even with social-distancing requirements in place.

North Carolina health officials said the ages of those who are testing positive for COVID-19 is getting younger, with about 45% of positive cases being between the ages of 25 and 49.
