CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman reported to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police that a person peeped at her in a woman’s bathroom.
A police reported said the incident happened Aug. 31 at the Dowd YMCA. The woman was not hurt.
The woman said the person secretly peeped through a gap in the bathroom stall while she was using it.
Statement from the YMCA:
"The YMCA of Greater Charlotte takes very seriously the safety and well being of its members and program participants. In August, a woman reported the presence of a man in the women's restroom located in a public area of the Dowd YMCA lobby. Our staff promptly removed the man from our property and worked with the woman to file a police report. We have worked with CMPD to positively identify the individual and have banned him from all YMCA of Greater Charlotte property."
