GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A standoff in Gaston County started at about 3 a.m. Saturday and ended at about 7 a.m., authorities said.
Police charged Chuck Bell with strangulation and assault on a female after the standoff on North Seventh Street.
Bell is in jail under a $50,000 bond.
