ALBERMARLE, N.C. — A man has been charged with murder after a shooting last month in Albemarle.
Police said 34-year-old Michael Allen shot and killed 27-year-old Sylvester Maske on April 3.
Officers said they responded to a home on Arey Avenue after receiving reports of shots being fired.
According to authorities, they found Maske with a gunshot wound behind the home. They said he later died.
Allen is currently being held on other charges.
Police have not said what led to the shooting.
