Police: Rider killed when speeding motorcycle collides with car in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday evening in west Charlotte.

According to police, a motorcyclist was speeding down Freedom Drive around 4 p.m. before colliding with another vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

No additional information has been released.
