Police: Tips lead to arrest in Hickory Walmart fire

HICKORY, N.C. — Police in Hickory said tips from the public helped them identify a man accused of setting clothes on fire inside a Walmart.

Keith Duncan is charged with burning personal property.

Police said the 31-year-old was captured on surveillance video setting several pairs of jeans on fire inside the Walmart in Hickory. The fire did nearly $50,000 of damage.

An employee and a customer grabbed a fire extinguisher to put that fire out.
