S.C. woman whose body parts found scattered finally laid to rest

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A South Carolina woman is finally being laid to rest on Sunday, five years after she was killed and dismembered.

Mekole Harris' severed hands and feet were found in trash bags at two separate homes in Greenville back in April 2008.

Investigators had to use fingerprints to identify Harris.

Clarence Jenkins is serving life in prison for the crime.

Jenkins' wife, Carmen, was also sentenced to 50 years in jail.

It is not clear if the rest of Harris' body was ever found.
