CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department said a 69-year-old man who vanished from his home on Christmas Eve was found safe.
Police said they got a call shortly after 8:50 a.m. Thursday saying 69-year-old Algie Clyburn was missing.

Detectives with the CMPD’s Missing Person Unit said Clyburn, who suffers from cognitive and mobility issues, left his home near Mineral Springs Road and North Graham Street in the early-morning hours of Christmas Eve.
He was found safe around 2p.m. and has been reunited with his family, police said.
