Shake Shack ready for south Charlotte debut

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Construction is ahead of schedule for Shake Shack Inc. in south Charlotte.

General Manager Sean Anderson says he expects that location in the Blakeney shopping complex to open the week of Nov. 12 -- months ahead of initial projections.

Permitting and inspections are being finalized, he says. He’s also in the process of hiring up to 70 employees for that store at 9824 Rea Road.

“We are lining things up,” Anderson says.

This marks Shake Shack’s second location in the Charlotte market, following one in the Park Road Shopping Center, which opened in April.
