CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The I-485 Outer near the Johnston Road was closed Saturday night for more than an hour following a multi-car collision. The road reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
Medic tells Channel 9 that two patients were taken from the crash with life-threatening injuries and four more were taken with serious injuries. All six were taken to Atrium Carolinas Medical Center.
NCDOT reports two of three lanes were initially closed, but the whole road was shut down as of 8 p.m.
