UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies recovered a stolen 18-wheeler trailer during a recent traffic stop, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped the tractor-trailer at Rocky River Road and Old Charlotte Highway and determined the trailer had been rented from another person in Concord.
Deputies contacted the Concord Police Department, which will continue investigating the case.
The sheriff’s office is also warning people to be cautious when renting or purchasing property, saying criminals can make fraudulent transactions and rental agreements appear legitimate.
Officials recommend verifying who you are doing business with, confirming ownership of property and being cautious when something does not seem right.
