SOUTH CAROLINA — South Carolina was named one of the worst states for grease fires on Thanksgiving, according to a study from State Farm Insurance.
It ranked states based on grease fire claims on the holiday.
South Carolina and Georgia tie for sixth.
The top five states are Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.
State Farm says more cooking fires happen on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year.
