Suspects found guilty of shipping 35 tons of pot to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three people accused of shipping more than 35 tons of marijuana to Charlotte will likely spend the rest of their lives in prison.

Corvain Cooper, 33, Evelyn LaChapelle, 28, and Natalia Wade, 30, were found guilty Friday.

The three shipped the marijuana from California.

They will spend up to 70 years in prison.
