AT&T announces 130 job openings in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — (AP) AT&T is announcing 130 job openings in North Carolina in retail sales, technician and call center positions.

Thursday's announcement follows the company's $1.6 billion investment in the state between 2011 and 2013. The company says the investment was designed to enhance network speed, reliability, coverage and performance for residents and business customers.

In 2013, AT&T hired more than 1,100 people across North Carolina to keep up with network expansion and retail demand, among others.
