CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte road crews will add a new traffic signal at the spot where Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton got into a crash more than two years ago.

Newton’s truck flipped when he and another driver collided near the stadium along Hill Street in 2014.
The city placed a large stop sign at South Church Street and Hill Street shortly after the crash, and said it cut down on wrecks.
On Monday night, the city approved a developer's plan to build an office tower on the land nearby. Part of the plan involves adding a traffic signal.
