Travelers returning to Charlotte from COVID-19 hotspots raises concerns

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As the holiday weekend winds down, a lot of travelers are coming back to the area, raising concerns that this could increase the risk of COVID-19 spreading in the community.

Part of the concern is that a lot of people are coming back from coronavirus hotspots.

“I’ve been following it closely nationally and keeping up with the numbers and really just trying to be cautious,” motorist Crystal Hargett said.
