MATTHEWS, N.C. — A tree fell on Kristophers Sports Bar & Restaurant Saturday night in downtown Matthews while taking down power lines and smashing a vehicle, officials said.
Power was out in downtown Matthews near the restaurant at Matthews and Trade streets.
More than 1,345 customers are without power in the area and it is not expected to be restored until Sunday afternoon at about 1 p.m., officials said.

Matthews Fire and Emergency Medical Services are on the scene of the incident.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
