CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that killed two people on Saturday.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m., officers responded to a call in the 4800 block of Hucks Road. Upon arrival, they located a heavily damaged, overturned white 2013 Dodge Caravan. Both the driver, 55-year-old Andrea Parkin, and passenger, 36-year-old Bryson Brown, were seriously injured.
MEDIC responded to the scene and pronounced both victims deceased at 6:45 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the Dodge was traveling north on Hucks Road before it ran off the road to the right, hit a tree, and overturned.
Both impairment and speed are suspected factors in the crash.
