Two new restaurants open at uptown’s Market at 7th Street

CHARLOTTE — The Market at 7th Street has welcomed two new restaurants to its lineup.

Mad Dash serves chef-driven sandwiches — think buttermilk fried chicken, patty melts and shrimp po’ boys — tacos, loaded fresh-cut fries, wings and house-made chips. Chef and owner Corey Jones is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University.

Mano Bella Artisan Foods is conceived, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Raffaele and Madison Patrizi. Originally from Rome, Italy, Raffaele Patrizi brings with him a deeply rooted knowledge of Italian cuisine and years of experience in the kitchen.

The couple has been selling their fresh pastas at area farmers markets, including South End and Davidson.

The Market at 7th Street is at 224 East 7th Street. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Vendor hours may vary, so check before you go.
