UNION COUNTY, N.C. — New data released this week shows schools in Union County are performing better.
According to school leaders, Sun Valley Middle School is showing the highest growth in the state.
In 2021, the school was graded a “D,” but it has since been upgraded to a “B.”
The district also ranked number one in the state for end-of-grade and end-of-course proficiency.
