UNION COUNTY, N.C. — The Union County Commission is taking a stand against proposed property tax changes at the state level.

Channel 9 has reported that state lawmakers are considering a constitutional amendment that would add a property tax cap.

Last week, the Union County Commission, who are Republican, unanimously adopted a resolution in opposition.

The all-Democratic Mecklenburg County Commission also passed a resolution opposed to the move.
