CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Equipment rental giant United Rentals will soon grow its local operation, which includes relocating to a new office space.
United Rentals Inc. said Monday morning that it will soon bring 150 new jobs to Charlotte, including positions in the company’s accounting services, credit and billing, customer care, inside sales, payroll and tax departments.

The new jobs will bring the local headcount for Stamford, Connecticut-based United Rentals to nearly 500 — it employs 335 in Charlotte now, according to a company spokesman.
The company will host a hiring event this week.
